As a grassroots organisation, we hold charitable values which underpin our commitment to delivering positive activities - and options for positive choices - to benefit the health, wellbeing and aspirations of young people and their families across our community.
Our passion is predominantly in working with young people to promote emotional health and wellbeing, interpersonal skills, educational attainment and career aspiration. In addition, we hope to tackle antisocial behaviour and the negative consequences this can bring. Ultimately, we seek to enable young people to make positive choices – and positive changes – in their own lives.
East Lancashire is a diverse community, and much of our work centres around breaking down barriers and bringing together different parts of society (age, race, culture, gender etc) to celebrate community life. We do this through the provision of support groups, community initiatives, and creative arts projects to name just a few of our offerings.
Browsing through the rest of our website will tell you more about what we do, but we are always looking for new ideas and new partnerships, so if there’s something you feel your community wants or needs, get in touch!
At Participation Works NW, our mission is to design and develop innovative projects to meet the needs of our young people and the communities they live, study and work within. We want to provide opportunities for them to participate in positive activities which will enable and empower them to develop essential skills for life via positive choice and positive change.
We believe that our work can inspire action, build resilience and transform the futures aspirations of the young people and families that we work with.
Young people are at the heart of what we do, and at the head of all we set out to achieve. If we can continue to make their lives safer, happier and more productive, then this can only be a good thing.
