About Us
Helping young people & communities make positive choices & positive changes.
We’re a not-for-profit grassroots organisation serving the young people and communities of East Lancashire since 2004.
Our passion is predominantly in working with young people to promote emotional health and wellbeing, interpersonal skills, educational attainment and career aspiration. In addition, we hope to tackle antisocial behaviour and the negative consequences this can bring. Ultimately, we seek to enable young people to make positive choices – and positive changes – in their own lives.
Our Mission
At Participation Works NW, our mission is to design and develop innovative projects to meet the needs of our young people and the communities they live, study and work within. We want to provide opportunities for them to participate in positive activities which will enable and empower them to develop essential skills for life via positive choice and positive change.
We believe that our work can inspire action, build resilience and transform the future aspirations of the young people and families that we work with.
Young people are at the heart of what we do, and at the head of all we set out to achieve. If we can continue to make their lives safer, happier and more productive, then this can only be a good thing.
