Youth Futures Foundation

Working in partnership with Calico & UCLan, this project aims to help influence positive change for the future of young people in Burnley. The project is led by a panel of young people who have the opportunity to be fully involved & use their voice to positively impact future prospects for all young people in their town.

The team have been busy engaging with young people in schools and the community to gather a diverse range of experiences, opinions and aspirations. We have also visited other youth projects in the North of England to gain an insight into what works well and gain a broader range of experiences. Workshops have focused around barriers to employment, what support has worked well for young people, and what future support should look like.

Over 1,000 young people have engaged in the project to date, with plenty of workshops yet to attend. Watch this space for updates!
