Money Management & Budgeting

This innovative project runs with small groups in Burnley High Schools, engaging young people on important financial topics that aren't covered in school on the curriculum.

Topics include: understanding tax, NI, wages, utility bills, the cost of setting up a home, credit cards, gambling, etc. The sessions also include budgeting for & preparing a meal. The aim of the project is to provide early intervention for young people identified as needing extra support, to prepare them for young adulthood and hopefully break the cycle of poverty
